Influential Stars is growing, and our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

We’re building a purpose driven platform that connects creators, supporters, charities and individuals through meaningful campaigns and experiences that raise funds and create real world impact.

Founded by Lisa Connell, who is living with an inoperable brain tumour, Influential Stars was created from a deeply personal belief that connection, community and influence can be powerful forces for good when brought together in the right way.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for committed, compassionate and proactive volunteers to help us deliver campaigns, support partners and expand our network.

Many of the people we work with are navigating challenging circumstances, so empathy, reliability and professionalism are just as important as skills and experience.

All roles are remote and voluntary, with a long term vision to create paid opportunities as the platform develops. We understand that many volunteers balance health, family or other commitments, so we aim to offer flexibility while maintaining a supportive and professional environment.

Founder & Director

Lisa Connell is the Founder and Director of Influential Stars, a purpose driven platform connecting creators, celebrities, supporters, activity providers and charitable causes through meaningful campaigns, experiences and collaborations designed to raise awareness and support.

Alongside leading the platform, Lisa oversees the day to day running of Influential Stars, including creator and collaborator support, partnerships, charitable causes, crowdfunder relationships, campaign guidance, activities and platform development.

Living with an inoperable brain tumour, Lisa has transformed her personal journey into a powerful mission to raise awareness and support UK charitable causes. She is a Patron of Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity and a High Profile Supporter of The Brain Tumour Charity.

Driven by resilience, compassion and a belief in the power of connection, Lisa continues to inspire others while building a platform designed to turn influence into real world impact.

Volunteer, PR & Marketing Manager

Maya Bhatti is a strategic marketing leader and, at Influential Stars, she drives PR, marketing, communications and campaigns that connect Creators, celebrities and supporters through meaningful charitable initiatives and unforgettable experiences.

With a global perspective and a heart for community, Maya has volunteered teaching English in Poland and advised a grassroots community project in Sri Lanka, bringing cultural awareness and purpose to her work.

She has a natural ability to translate vision into powerful storytelling that resonates with audiences and inspires action. Outside her role, Maya loves hiking and recently ticked off a bucket-list adventure by completing the Inca Trail.

Volunteer, Finance Manager

Ann Marie was one of the first volunteers to join Influential Stars, recognising the potential in both Lisa and the platform from the very beginning. She has been an integral part of the journey ever since.

As Volunteer Finance Manager, Ann Marie’s dedication, trust and expertise have been invaluable in supporting the platform’s growth and sustainability. Over time, she has also become a very close friend to Lisa, just like the rest of the team, reflecting the strong personal connections at the heart of Influential Stars.

Her ongoing support continues to play a vital role in the success of the platform.

I am Rhianne, and I chose to be part of Influential Stars because I believe social media can be far more than likes and followers. It has the power to bring people together, raise awareness for important causes, and create real world impact. Being part of a platform that helps turn influence into meaningful support is something I am incredibly proud of, and I look forward to helping share the inspiring stories, campaigns, and people behind Influential Stars.

Volunteer, Creator Engagement Manager

Louise first knew Lisa as a teenager growing up in Bath. Aside from the occasional shared night out at Roxbury’s, their paths didn’t fully reconnect until years later when Louise began volunteering with Influential Stars.

With a varied professional background spanning care work, administration and end of life care, Louise brings both practical experience and deep compassion to her role.

As Creator Engagement Manager, she plays a central role in supporting and guiding creators through their journey on the platform, helping them feel confident, supported and inspired to launch impactful campaigns.

She is also a devoted mum to four daughters and has been living with multiple sclerosis for nearly twenty years, a journey that has shaped her resilience, empathy and strength.

Volunteer Charities and Crowdfunder Support Manager

We’re currently looking for a compassionate, confident and highly professional volunteer to build and maintain relationships with charities, community groups and personal crowdfunders.

The role involves guiding each cause from their initial contact through onboarding and beyond, ensuring they feel welcomed, understood and supported throughout their involvement with Influential Stars.
