Their fundraising efforts and campaign initiatives advocate for better prevention, diagnosis and treatment strategies. With their ‘Let’s Talk Clots’ campaign, they’ve developed a free information app, and hosted national conferences aimed at educating healthcare professionals, patients and carers.
The aim is to reduce the impact such conditions has on those affected. Thrombosis UK wants to advance outcomes and advocate for the creation of better management techniques to improve quality of life.
Their priority is that everyone should be aware of the potential life threatening and life changing consequences such conditions can cause. Thrombosis can affect anyone, at any age. It does not discriminate. Thrombosis UK encourages everyone to know and understand the signs and symptoms in order to reduce the risk.
