IIH - Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension UK
Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension UK (IIH UK) was formed by members of an IIH support forum. While organisations offered some information on the condition, there were no national organisation of its kind in existence.
In 2008, IIH UK became official – the UK’s first national organisation dedicated to the needs of people of IIH. Beginning first by selling merchandise.
The charity seeks to provide information, promote awareness, and support those with IIH and their loved ones.
Recently, they conducted their very own research focusing on a number of areas including, the causes of IIH and the diagnosis, symptom management and care provisions.
They are supported entirely by volunteers, all of whom either have IIH or care for someone who does.
