Dylans DSRCT Cancer Fight

In April 2026, at just 25 years old, Dylan was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour (DSRCT), an incredibly rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Only weeks earlier, Dylan had walked his mum, Charlene, down the aisle at her wedding, proposed to the woman he loves, Jasmine, and bought a home where they planned to build their future together. In a matter of weeks, wedding plans, dreams and excitement for the future were replaced by hospital appointments, chemotherapy, procedures and the daily reality of fighting cancer.

Since his diagnosis, Dylan has endured intensive chemotherapy, repeated hospital stays, scans, blood transfusions and procedures to manage serious complications caused by the cancer, including fluid building up in his abdomen and pressure affecting his kidneys and bladder. Through every setback, his family have remained firmly beside him.

Dylan’s initial treatment significantly reduced the activity of the cancer, giving him and his family much-needed hope. Devastatingly, they have since learned that the cancer has become active again and his treatment now needs to change.

Because DSRCT is so rare, Dylan and his family want to seek expert opinions from specialist centres overseas with experience of treating rare cancers like his. They do not yet know whether this could lead to another treatment, a clinical trial, a different approach or a clearer understanding of what comes next. There are no guarantees, but they want to know that every possible avenue has been explored and every door has been knocked on.

Dylan’s family have brought his cause to Influential Stars to widen the circle of people standing beside him. By reaching Creators, Collaborators, businesses and supporters, they hope to raise vital funds and awareness while connecting with people who may be able to help open another door.

Funds raised through Influential Stars campaigns will help towards any treatment, specialist consultations or other medical costs he may need. If another opportunity becomes available, Dylan’s family want to be in a position to pursue it without financial circumstances standing in their way.

Dylan is far more than a diagnosis. He is a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, proud dog dad to Rufus and fiancé to Jasmine. He has a home and a future he wants to build, memories he still wants to make and people he wants the chance to grow old with.
