Andy's Man Club

ANDYSMANCLUB aims to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health by creating a judgment-free, confidential space where men can openly discuss their struggles. They achieve this through weekly, free peer-to-peer support groups for men aged 18 and over. #ThatOneMan is their commitment to providing support to every man in need, regardless of their growth, accolades, partnerships, or new clubs.

Founded in mid-2016, ANDYSMANCLUB began when nine men met in Halifax to talk through their issues and support each other’s mental health. This gathering sparked a movement that has grown rapidly, with groups now in over 150 locations across the UK.

Named after Andrew Roberts, who tragically took his own life at 23, ANDYSMANCLUB was created by Andy’s mother, Elaine Roberts, and brother-in-law, Luke Ambler. They discovered that male suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 50, largely due to cultural stigma around mental health in the UK. 

Now, ANDYSMANCLUB operates nationwide, led by volunteers, most of whom started as service users. With over 3,000 men attending weekly and more than 900 facilitators, the movement continues to grow steadily.
